Meeting of the church
The meeting of the church at Christ The King Church starts as we come together at 11:00am as families (the old, the young, the children, the infants), partaking together of the grace available in corporate worship. Singing of Psalms and Hymns, reading and teaching from the living word of God and corporate prayer are a part of every weekly gathering.
We celebrate and partake of the Lord’s table every service. This is an open communion. Believing visitors from other churches who are in good standing are welcome to partake. We emphasize the duty of individual believers to examine themselves carefully, and to proclaim the Lord’s death by deliberately partaking or deliberately abstaining.
Every Lord’s day we share in a fellowship meal following the service provided by families in attendance bringing several main dishes and desserts. Visitors are always welcome to join the fellowship meal.
We are committed to teach the full counsel of God making disciples of all the nations.
Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (19) Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20) teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
We will preach the word of God in season and out of season.
2 Timothy 4:1-2 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: (2) preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.
